    Tucan is a live cell real-time monitoring and analysis system developed by Newtonoptic, which is built into an CO2 incubator. It collects dynamic image information of cell activity, allowing for long-term observation and recording of individual samples.

     

    Bright field dynamic observation function

    Tucan relies on a 10x long working distance objective lens and a single bright field imaging mode, which can clearly capture the adhesion efficiency, morphological details. For example, by using the time sequence diagrams of adherent cells at 0, 24, and 36 hours, the quality of cell culture can be intuitively judged, providing morphological monitoring basis for basic cell experiments.

     

    Multi scene time series collection

    Tucan supports automatic photography at custom intervals (such as 5 minutes, 1 hour), enabling long-term dynamic data collection from several hours to several days without the need for manual monitoring. The system can automatically record continuous images of cell growth, differentiation, killing, and other processes.

    Dynamic recording

    Tucan covers complex scenarios such as immune killing, immune cell differentiation, tumor ball invasion, and chemotaxis detection,  presenting the dynamic changes at the cellular functional level, providing intuitive experimental evidence for fields such as immune research and tumor research.

     

    Quantitative analysis function of cell growth and migration

    Tucan has three core algorithms: convergence rate warning, growth curve analysis, and scratch analysis. It can calculate the convergence degree of adherent cells in real time and automatically generate growth curves to quantify proliferation rates; By dynamically calculating the equivalent width changes of scratches, the migration speed of cells can be derived without manual measurement.

     

    Compact size, suitable for various culture containers

    The imaging host is only 147mm x 127mm x 90mm, with an ultra small volume, and can flexibly place 55 units in the incubator. Running in an incubator can avoid interference from environmental fluctuations on cells. Tucan is compatible with various culture containers such as 2-well to 96 well plates, 35mm/60mm petri dishes, T25/T75 culture bottles, culture bags, microfluidic chips, etc.

     

    Multi format data output

    Tucan supports automatic generation of JPG/Tiff static images, full resolution MP4 continuous videos, and CSV raw data; The data is automatically stored in a calendar based database, allowing for quick retrieval of historical data by experiment date and sample name, while fully preserving experimental records.
