Experimental Background
The sample displayed this time is HCC827, a human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell line. This cell line has an EGFR exon 19 deletion mutation (E746-A750del), which leads to continuous activation of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), making it sensitive to EGFR-TKI targeted drugs (such as gefitinib and erlotinib). It is commonly used in lung cancer targeted therapy research. HCC827 cells grow adherently in vitro with an epithelial-like morphology and are often used for drug sensitivity testing, resistance mechanism research, and tumor signaling pathway exploration. Due to its clear EGFR mutation background, HCC827 is one of the important model cells for studying NSCLC targeted therapy.
